An independent political analyst, Boakye Yiadom has stated that the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) ‘March for Justice’ protest is nothing but an agenda to serve its political course and not to serve the ordinary Ghanaians as portrayed.

Mr Yiadom said protests such as the one the NDC is staging are only meant to advance its political agenda and not necessarily what has happened in Ejura regarding the killing of some youth there.

Mr Yiadom who commented on Day Break Upper East show on A1 Radio explained that any time a political party undertakes a protest of such nature usually wants to show to the electorate that it has good intentions for the country than the ruling party as it could be seen by the NDC.

Answering a question on whether there will be an incident-free protest by the NDC, Mr Yiadom noted that the success of the protest largely depends on the action of the protestors in adhering to the directive of the security personnel that are there to ensure peaceful actions, “…but if the protestors decide to misbehave the security personnel will be compelled to use force to control the situation”.

He regretted that some Ghanaian youth still do not learn from actions of politicians who usually lure them into the street and other political activities to advance their political gains with the omission of their own children.

He said majority of politicians who like calling for street protest usually let their children attend prestigious schools outside the country to mold their future.

This he however advised the youth to beware of such tactics by politicians because when problems arise they will suffer it alone.
