I’m not Jesus Christ that can stop corruption, but I will introduce pressure for progress to combat corruption- Special Prosecutor assures

Special Prosecutor Nominee, Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng has noted that he is not Jesus Christ that can boldly say he can end corruption hence will introduce a tactical strategy called pressure for progress to tackle corruption in the country.

According to the Special Prosecutor corruption in the country has strong roots and can only be fought and won in inclusiveness by all and sundry.

Lawyer Agyebeng added that he will set up a Ghanaian own corruption perception index where various institutions will be used to measure others on their performance regarding corruption.

Lawyer Agyebeng made the assurance at the Parliament’s Appointments Committee vetting in Accra.

He stressed that he will not be occupying the office to look at what past prosecutors have done but will focus on his own strategies.

He said, “I’m a man of my own so will not be looking at what others have done or not. My focus is how can I help execute my mandate at the end of the day. So, I’m determined to do a good job.”
