Tertiary institutions suspend academic activities over UTAG strike

Some tertiary institutions across the country have suspended academic activities following the strike action by University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).

Several press releases from various universities sighted by A1Radioonline.com indicates that school authorities are putting on hold impending academic activities.

Institutions such as University of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Journalism and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology all served notice of suspending academic activities due to the strike action by UTAG.

The statement from the University of Ghana further states that resumption of level 200, 300 batches for the second semester, 2020/21 has been adjourned.

A statement from the Ghana institute of Journalism notified part-time lecturers of the institute about the suspension of lectures.

Meanwhile a statement from KNUST authority informed the university community of the suspension of semester exams.
