The Talensi Constituency Secretary of the opposition National Democratic (NDC), Solomon TTB has promised to lead a crusade for the prosecution of the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu over his dealing of the botched Sputnik V vaccine procurement.
The minister is standing accused of making an advance payment of about US$2,850,000 to Sheikh Al Maktoum without the supplies of the vaccine.
But speaking on ‘Day Break Upper East’ show on A1 Radio, Solomon said whether the minister resigns or not, he will still lead a process for him to be prosecuted when the NDC comes back to office.
According to Solomon TTB, the Health Minister as a professional chartered accountant and a personality who held so many portfolios in the country should know better and should not engage in deals like the botched Sputnik V.
He believes they are other big public figures in the country who where part of the minister’s action.
“I said the deal was a cabal, the President is aware of it, and whether this man resign or not, I Solomon TTB from Talensi when the NDC come to power l will lead the prosecution of him. 2025 we will be in office and I will lead a prosecution of him including any body who is an accomplish, including any person who is within this cabal” he noted.
