A1 Radio commended for sustained education on Covid-19

A1 Radio a subsidiary of Agreed Best Communication Limited has been applauded for its sustained efforts in educating the public in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

Stakeholders at a mini forum express gratitude to managers and staff of A1 Radio for their contribution in helping the fight to combat Covid-19 in the Upper East Region.

Speaking at a mini forum under the theme “Covid-19 Response in Africa: Together for Reliable Information” which is an initiative of A1 Radio and Media Foundation for West Africa with funding from the European Union, the Upper East Regional Health Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Emmanuel Dzotsi said A1 Radio has consistently called him offer education and update to the populace in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, which is commendable.

Dzotsi said the Upper East Region currently has an active number of 25 COVID-19 cases with 51 death since the region first recorded its first case in 2020 and 9 of the cases are from the Bolgatanga Municipality which makes it the epicenter of the virus thus the need for the media to maintain a sustained efforts to help curtail infection rates.

The Bolgatanga Municipal Health Director, Dr. Edmund Nyanwura said “many time he has been called to the studio of A1 Radio speak about Covid-19 and health issues so that the general public will learn more about their health.”

The forum was organized to bring stakeholders to assess the impact of Covid-19 in the Upper East Region and deliberate on ways to reduce the rate of increasing Covid-19 infections which has been associated with non adherence of Covid-19 protocols.
