Acting District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo in the Upper East Region,Peter Ayinbisa, is admonishing members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain resolute and steadfast ahead of President Akufo-Addo’s announcement of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive nominees.

In a statement issued and copied A1radionline.com,  Mr. Ayinbisa said the interest of the NPP should be of concern to every party member hence, the decision by the President should be respected regardless of their expectations.

He said “As we await the announcement of the next DCE of our District, I want to urge all of you to remain steadfast and committed to the democratic credentials of our great party. We have come a very long way in our quest and struggle to positively influence the Electoral fortunes of our party in the District over the years through thick and thin.”

He further stated that “Desirous to annex the Constituency for the party and working together as a family, we were able to galvanized votes for our party. Though, we didn’t win the seat, we made very significant inroads and improvements in an undeniably stronghold of the NDC. The appointment of MMDCEs is the prerogative of His Excellency the President.”

Mr. Ayinbisa, therefore, urged party faithful not to be used by people within the party with selfish interest.

“We should not allow ourselves to be used by others to perpetuate acts of violence which has the highest tendency of furthering the cracks that already exists, either real or perceived in our party. All potential celebrants must be mindful of the fact that we all believe in one ideology and will need one another come 2024 and beyond. I’ am of the strongest conviction that, the President will do the needful to meet the admiration of all. I am committed to the course of the party and will urge you and all our following to do same. It is not about do-or-die. Let us all remain calm and resolute behind the president. God bless us all.”
