The Outgoing District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wa East, Moses Jotie, has expressed his sincerest gratitude to President Nana Akufo Addo for giving him what he described as an opportunity to serve the people of the Wa East Area and Ghana as a whole.

During his tenure as DCE, Mr. Jotie said he was able to contribute towards the development of the area and has also championed the programmes and policies of the government.

He continued that while he may not forthwith serve in the capacity as DCE, he remains committed to the development of the area and will support efforts towards improving the socio-economic standards of the people of the area.

In a statement signed and released to the media, the Outgoing DCE said the president through his prerogative of power and in tandem with the Constitution of Ghana has nominated the Presiding Member of the Assmenly, Dr. Ewurah Sulemana Kandia to serve in the capacity of DCE and thus called for support for the incoming person.

Mr Jotie was full of praise and gratitude for the support offered him by Traditional and Religious Leaders, Members of the Wa East Assembly and other members of society.

“I am happy to state that with your support, the district under my watch had its fair share of developmental projects and programmes. However, there is still more to be done,” he noted.
