The 3rd Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Michael Omari-Wadie, has called on the 15 newly nominated Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) in the Upper East Region to discharge their duties effectively devoid of petty politics when confirmed.
According to Mr. Omarie-Wadie, they have been nominated by the President to work for the interest and development of the communities they represent; therefore, they should be committed to that mandate and nothing else.
He also admonished interested candidates who could not make it to the nomination list to support those who have been nominated in order to achieve the goal of the government.
Mr. Omarie-Wadie made these remarks in an interview on daybreak Upper East on A1 Radio.
