Founding Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, has described legendary Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as a strong force without whom, Ghana would not have been in place.
He said Dr. Nkrumah’s visionary leadership has largely contributed in advancing the cause of development in the country.
Dr. Tamakloe made these comments Tuesday, in an interview on A1 Radio’s Daybreak Upper East show in line with the commemoration of Dr. Nkrumah’s birthday.
Eulogizing Ghana’s first President, Dr. Tamakloe said Ghana and Africa as a whole cannot afford to forget the leadership of service Dr. Nkrumah demonstrated during his time as president.
He however expressed worry over what he described as the way young politicians nowadays prefer using national resources to enrich themselves at the to the neglect of the masses.
Dr. Tamakloe thus called on Ghanaians to uphold Nkrumah’s legacies and ideologies; keeping in mind nationalism as Dr. Nkrumah did.
