Bolgatanga East Assembly confirms David Amoah as DCE

The Bolgatanga East District Assembly in the Upper East Region has endorsed David Akologo Amoah, the President’s nominee as the District Chief Executive (DCE) with 100 percent votes.

Mr. Amoah who is the Constituency Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Bolgatanga East obtained the votes of all the 22 Assembly Members present.

His declaration as newly elected DCE was met with spontaneous jubilation by the crowd who had thronged the premises of the Assembly to support him.

He was immediately sworn into office; witnessed by the Upper East Regional Minister, some executives of the NPP and traditional rulers.

Mr. Amoah in his acceptance speech pledged his commitment to the development of the Bolgatanga East District.

He becomes the second of the 15 nominees to be confirmed or rejected in the Upper East Region.
