The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has served notice that it will resume its suspended strike on Friday, October 8, 2021, if Government still fails to meet demands made by the association over the condition of service of its members.
It could be recalled that members of the association, few weeks ago embarked on a strike to protest their poor conditions of service; but suspended the action after signing a Memorandum of Agreement with Government to complete negotiations on their conditions of service.
According to UTAG, the resumption of its strike has become necessary because negotiations with the Government have not yielded any positive results.
