Former District Chief Executive for the Bolgatanga East, Professor Emmanuel Abugre Abole has accused the newly confirmed DCE of the area, David Amoah of being a saboteur.

Speaking to A1 Radio on ‘Zina Yela’ show, the first District Chief Executive for the Bolgatanga East said, the newly sworn-in DCE who is the constituency Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party never supported him when he was a DCE.

But the newly sworn-in DCE for the Bolgatanga East, David Amoah when contacted said he never sabotage his predecessor as claimed, but he wouldn’t want to discuss party issues on the radio. Mr. Amoah only said he “remain resolute to work for the party and has always worked for the party.”

According to Rev. Abole, even though his successor tried all he could for him not to succeed when he was DCE for the Bolgatanga East, he declared unflinching support through the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, and lobbied the assembly members for the area which saw the President’s nominee Mr. Amoah securing a 100 percent votes cast.

Buttressing his point, the former DCE said his successor was never happy with him and never supported him since he became the DCE and NPP parliamentary candidate for the Bolgatanga East.

“After he failed to defeat me in the NPP parliamentary primaries, he failed to work with me. When he was nominated over the other 11 contestants, the regional minister invited us the chief executives who were not retained to his office and asked us to lobby the assembly members to vote for the president’s nominees. I was frank and I told the regional minister that the president rather appointed someone who was not helping the party. When I was there, because he is the constituency chairman, I will call him to come so that we will do one or two things, but he will refuse. When I was appointed, he wasn’t happy and he came and contested me in the primaries and lost and went back and continued with that same behavior towards me”

Professor Abole stressed that he has evidence to back his claims because on countless occasions he invited Mr. David Amoah to attend government programs which he refused including the commissioning of government projects in the district.
