The Bolgatanga Central constituency communication officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), David Agorogo has said the Chairperson of the electoral commission Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa, and her Deputy, Dr. Eric Bossman Asare are behaving like communicators of the governing NPP.
The Electoral Commission (EC) at a press conference dubbed ‘Let the Citizens Know’ called on the Ghana Police Service to investigate claims made by the former President John Dramani Mahama that the commission thumb printed one million ballot papers in favor of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 presidential election.
But speaking on A1 Radio’s current affairs ‘Zina Yela’ program, Mr. Agorogo said the EC chairperson and her deputy are always against the National Democratic congress just like communicators and serial callers of the NPP ever since they assumed office.
“The Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, and Bossman Asare are behaving like NPP communicators and serial callers. These are the people who put election results on their website, when you calculate the results in percentage terms, you end up getting more than 100 percent; this is unprecedented. Since childhood, we have never seen 110 percent before, have you ever seen something like that? And they have the authority to come out with that confused press conference”
Mr. Agorogo further stated that the 2020 presidential and parliamentary election organized by the Electoral Commission was the worst ever election in Africa.
According to him if not the 2020 general election, never in the history of Ghana that nine will people lose their lives due to the lack of transparency from the leadership of the electoral commission whom he describes as card-bearing members of the NPP.
“The 2020 general election is the worst election that the whole of Africa has ever recorded, because it was this election that we saw nine people in including a pregnant woman lose their lives due to lack of transparency from the EC’s Bossman Asare and his boss, Jean Mensa, NPP serial callers and card bearing members.”
