GRIDCo has completed maintenance work on the transmission line and has restored power to Zebilla after a rainstorm hit the area. The power distributor (NEDCo) has however called for calm as some areas are still without power.
The company has deployed technicians to affected areas to identify and rectify localized faults. Earlier, GRIDCo’s Line Maintenance Team led by Chief Technician Engineer for The Northern Network Sevices of GRIDCO Mr. Raphael Kornor worked on the transmission line. They erected 15 aluminum poles between pylon number 188 and number 190 as a temporal means to restore power in the shortest possible time. This was done after stabilizing pylon number 188 and decommissioning the broken one; number 189.
