Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central constituency in the Upper East Region Isaac Adongo has pledged to render support to the 29-year-old Daniel Apuyine who has been appealing for public support for a hand pedal tricycle.
Daniel Apuyine is physically impaired and has been struggling to make a living with the help of his manual hand pedal tricycle which is in bad shape and makes movement difficult for him.
The plight of Daniel was however carried out by A1 Radio. After the story aired, the MP, reached out and pledged to support him.
According to the MP, his attention has been drowned to the report hence will get Daniel a new tricycle. “I was approached yesterday on his situation and I offered to buy one for him”, he said.
Upon hearing news that the MP pledged to help them, family members including Daniel and his grandfather, Akayaa-Dongo shed tears of joy; explaining that the support will bring change to their lives.
Mr. Akayaa-Dongo who was so excited about the MP’s pledge revealed that Isaac Adongo (MP) and Daniel’s father were mates at the Zamse Senior High School, a secondary school in the Upper East Region, therefore, is counting on the MP’s pledge to offer support.
