The Ghana Police Service is mourning its officers who died in a while on patrol within the Zuarungu township of the Upper East Region. The Service, in a post on its official social media handles called for discernment in circulating information about the incident.
“Black Wednesday for the Ghana Police Service as we have lost 2 of our officers through the activities of criminals, while on patrols this night within the Zuarungu Township to safeguard life and property.
In line with our tradition, the families of these officers will be contacted and informed before we come up with details.
Meanwhile, we are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the dastardly act to be circumspect with information pertaining to the incident,” the statement said.
