All communities within the Binduri Constituency could be connected to the national grid by 2024.
The MP for the area, Abdulai Abanga expressed optimism when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East adding that even if the strategy to connect the entire Constituency to the National grid fails, major strides would still have been made.
Mr. Abanga said his development agenda for Binduri is gradually taking shape as roads are being fixed, reshaped and expanded, bridges are also being constructed to ease commute in the area while the extension of water to areas without water continues unabated.
“We have the biggest problems with water. Everywhere you go, people lacked potable drinking water. There are times that I have wept in my campaign rounds seeing the kind of water people are drinking. On my own, I have acquired a drilling rig because it is so expensive to put these things [the drilling of boreholes] on contract. I have devoted a part of my car loan to acquiring a rig,” he said.
