Tangoba Abayage extols moral values of late UE Regional Chief Imam

The former Upper East Region Minister, Paulina Tangoba Abayage has commiserated with the family of the late Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Shiekh Tahir Saeed. In doing this, the former Regional Minister also extolled the high moral values of the late Imam.

In a heartfelt message on her official Facebook page, Madam Abayage wrote “I’ve received with great sadness the demise of the Upper East Chief Imam. This is a person I’ve worked with over so many years on humanitarian and community development issues. Very dynamic, development-oriented and a very proactive person. May Allah be pleased with his soul. Rest In Peace, Sheikh”.

The former Regional Minister joins a plethora of people who have sent messages of condolences to the family in this difficult time.

Scores of people comprising family members, well-wishers and the Muslim Ummah thronged the residence of the late Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Shiekh Tahir Saeed to commiserate with the family.

When news of the passing of the Regional Imam broke, A1 News visited the home of the late Sheikh Saeed, the sympathisers looked distraught and saddened by the sudden loss of the highly respected religious leader.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown. Shiekh would be laid to rest in keeping with the Islamic faith.

The Regional Chief Imam was recently in the news for asking his colleagues at the various Districts and Municipalities to use Friday prayers (Jum’ah) to promote peace in disturbed areas in the region.

According to Alhaji Shiek Tahir Saeed, peace and tranquillity are the only roadmaps to building a prosperous society.
