The pockets of agitation reported in Kwadaso and Manhyia and some other places with regard to the picking of nomination forms for the Polling Station elections would not mar the entire process to elect new leadership for the various Polling Stations under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In fact, the agitations could be said to be expected as the party begins its internal reorganisation processes.

These sentiments were shared by the Upper West Regional Communications Director of the NPP, Bukari Ali when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East today, February 21, 2022.

Mr. Ali said “it is expected that a major political party like the NPP that is trying to do its internal reorganisation, it is expected that you will get pockets of agitations, pockets of accusations. That is not going to mar the event in my opinion,” he said.

He continued to say that “in the case of the Upper West Region, we have taken delivery of the materials”.

Mr. Ali said unlike other regions where some disturbing incidents had been reported and accusations made, the Upper West Region has not recorded any. He stressed that efforts would be made to ensure that the entire process remains problem free.
