Founder of All People’s Congress (APC), Dr Hassan Ayariga has called on President, Akufo Addo to take pragmatic measures in dealing with the daily increment of fuel prices.
According to him, the daily “TikTok” increment of fuel prices is affecting businesses as well as making life unbearable to Ghanaians.
His comments come on the backdrop of the frequent increase in prices of petroleum products from January to February 2022.
Though the government has come out to explain some of the reasons leading to the recent price increment as well as the world market prices on crude oil, Dr Ayariga reasoned otherwise.
According to him, the World market rating on petroleum products have been changing since and can’t be a justifiable reason under President Akufo Addo regime, hence he should cut down his daily expenditures.
“The indecisive increment of fuel prices almost every week is making businesses and life unbearable for Ghanaians Mr President”, he added.
He however added that the Ghanaian cedi is also a matter of concern as its depreciation goes beyond normality and can never arrest the United States dollar as it was touted by the Vice President. Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
