The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has hinted that Passion Air, operators of local intra-country flights, would begin flying to Wa, the Upper West Regional capital on a daily basis.

This is expected to begin from next week.

Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih stated this in a post on his official Facebook page today, March 1, 2022.

He wrote, “starting next week, PassionAir will begin daily flights to Wa Airport”.

This comes after Lawyer Bede Ziendine, the MP for Lawra, raised questions on the Floor of Parliament about the frequency of flights to the region.

The MP noted that the region has grown to a point where the majority of its populace would want to use flights as a preferred means of transport to the national capital. As such, the MP urged the Transport Ministry and the operators of Passion Air to consider increasing the scheduled flights for the week.
