The Deputy Upper East Regional Communications Director of the NPP, Johnson Ayine has disclosed that government will hand over the Vea Irrigation Dam project to a contractor on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
This would allow for a major and completed rehabilitation of the Vea Irrigation Dam and all other ancillary facilities.
He made this revelation when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East.
“The government is going to rehabilitate the Vea Irrigation Dam. They have awarded the contract. Thursday, March 3, at 10 am we will hand over the site to the contractor. The Regional Minister and the District Chief Executive Officer for Bongo would be there,” he said.
It would be recalled that a report was carried by A1 Radio about the Minister for Food and Agriculture’s intention to rehabilitate the Vea Irrigation Dam Project.
