UE: Family of late Chief Imam to hold Memorial Service at Mobil Park

The Family of the Late Chief Imam, Sheik Alhaji Tahir Saeed would hold a memorial service for the late Upper East Regional Chief Imam.

The memorial service would offer the family, friends and religious followers of the late Chief Imam the opportunity to celebrate a life well-lived.

This was contained in a statement from the family and copied to A1 Radio.

“The Family of the Late Chief Imam, Sheik Alhaji Tahir Saeed cordially invites the entire Muslim community, friends and loved ones on 13th March 2022 to join hearts in the Celebration of life of the Fallen Hero; Chief Imam Sheik Alhaji Tahir Saeed.

The venue for the Event shall be at Bolgatanga Mobil Park and The Event Shall start at 9.00 am prompt.

The honour of your presence is requested at the memorial as you bring your thoughts, prayers and fondest memories of the Late Chief Imam Sheik Tahir Saeed,” the statement said.

Sheik Alhaji Tair Saeed died on February 20, 2022. Days before his passing, the late Regional Chief Imam asked his colleagues at the various Districts and Municipalities to use Friday prayers (Jum’ah) to promote peace in disturbed areas in the region.

According to Alhaji Shiek Tahir Saeed, peace and tranquillity are the only roadmaps to building a prosperous society.

He said, “… Bawku, Doba and Kandiga deserve better and we as peace-loving people owe it a duty to ask Allah for His mercifulness. From now onwards, Jum’ah should be used to promote peace and unity. We have come a long way as people and a region.”
