The Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West District, Peter Lanchene Toobu has donated 30 wheelchairs to some individuals with physical challenges in the Wa West District.
24 of the wheelchairs were given to persons living with disabilities while the remaining were given to some selected health facilities in the area.
Mr. Toobu also donated 2 new motorbikes to the Wa Wes District Police Service to improve security in the area. The motorbikes would augment the Patrol team’s efforts at stamping out crime in the area, particularly on community market days.
At a brief handing over ceremony, Mr. Toobu assured the people of the Wa West area that he would continue to do all he can to support and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.
