UW: Young leaders to be inspired at the Soar Conference

Young leaders in the Upper West Region are expected to be inspired to do more to elevate the spaces they find themselves in. They are also expected to be educated on how to expand their network in furtherance of their goals to lead people and transform society.

This would be done at the Soar Conference.

The Soar Conference according to the Convener, Joshua Jirijiri is “organized to inspire leaders to explore their leadership potentials while leveraging on networking to maximize the opportunities discovered”.

“That’s to say, it’ll be a gathering of young aspiring leaders to discuss pertinent issues surrounding youth development and appropriate ways to leverage on each other to realize one’s goals while developing a roadmap for future engagement,” he added.

The Soar Conference will be held on March 26, 2022 in Wa, the Upper West Regional Capital. Patrons would be presented with certificates of participation.

The Conference would be held under the auspices of “the Joshua Project”.

The speakers are; Priscilla Khadi Vawurah, Alhassan Halimatu Sadia, Dumba Clovis Cajetan, Henry Daitey and Christian M. Kwesi.

Priscilla Khadi Vawurah is a final year student and the SRC President for the SDD-UBIDS. She is the CEO of Khadi’s signatures, a member of the Plan International, Network for Young Women Empowerment, a woman activist as well as a skill coach.

Alhassan Halimatu Sadia is a level 400 student pursuing BA Social and Development Administration. She’s the President for the Association of Students of Social and Development Administration (ASSDA) and Vice President of Infinite Research Institute. A debater and Youth and Women empowerment activist.

Dumba Clovis Cajetan is a student leader, entrepreneur, activist, philanthropist, writer and communicator.

Henry Daitey is a Master’s Student Pursuing MPhil in Environment and Resource Management. He’s a religious leader and an Elder of the Pentecostal Church of PENSA UBIDS. He’s a life and career coach.

Christian M. Kwesi is the NUGS President of UBIDS, Founder & President of Young African Great Mind, 2020 FALA Winner, and an Ambassador of the Future Africa Leaders Foundation and McDan Youth Connect. He’s a youth activist and a motivational speaker, a manifold award winner of most prestigious awards.
