Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo is expected to arrive in the upper east region on Thursday 17th September 2015 as part of the party’s ‘Rise and Build” tour.
His arrival in the upper east region will mark the fourth leg of his nationwide tour after visiting the Volta, Eastern and currently in the upper west region. Nana Addo is expected to meet with party executives at both the regional and constituency levels as part of rebuilding the party to win the 2016 elections.
Communications director of the NPP in the upper east region Edmund Awuni said the Flagbearer will spend a little over 24 hours in the region and then proceed to the northern region.
“All members are expected to meet him in Sumbrungu and usher him and his entourage into town where he will address members and supporters of the party at VAG Hall and later meet with regional and constituency executives and as well some elders of the party at the catholic social center” he said.
This will be Nana Addo’s first visit to the upper east region after the recently held Talensi by-election. The party is looking forward to increase the number of seats it currently holds in the region which stands at only one (1) after losing the Talensi seat to the NDC in the by-election.
