Future for Africa, a not-for-profit organisation based in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital, has donated a brand new GIMMA 1200G Electrocardiograph (ECG) Machine to the Upper East Regional Hospital.

The donation was led by Future for Africa’s Executive Director, Delwin Mansur Achebs along with the Project Coordinator of the organisation, Samuel Nayang.

This gesture was made possible by Medical Volunteers Miss Lourdes Martin and Miss Magda Alles who worked at the Hospital in May 2021.

After learning about the dire need for this machine at the Emergency Ward, the duo organized a fundraiser in Spain to aid in the procurement of the machine.

At a short handing over meeting, the Director of the Regional Hospital Dr Saanwie Aiden together with the Administrator and some key staff expressed great joy at the gesture. They stressed how the machine will help improve healthcare delivery at the facility.
