Health providers at the Diare Health Centre at Kukua in the North East Region have discharged the victim of the shooting incident at Karimenga. This is after the removal of the two bullets lodged in parts of the victim’s body after she was shot by the police

The victim’s brother, Godwin Wuni, who spoke on the phone in an interview with our reporter noted that his sister is in good condition.

He, however, noted that the police have since not shown up to check on the health status of the victim.

The act by the police, he said, smacks of inhumanity with an overt notion of “I don’t care”. Mr. Wuni said this does not speak well for them as human beings.

“The police have not shown any concern. Since we told them that we are home with her, but to date, none of them has come except the police inspector at Pwalugu, where the rider went to report himself.”

“He sent his in charge to come and see my sister’s condition and also take her statement on his docket,” he said.

He however thanked all that supported them in kind and prayers for God’s mercy.
