Lawyer Anthony Namoo has been retained by delegates as Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region.
Lawyer Namoo won today’s contest with 114 out of the total valid votes cast. His contenders got the following results; Mohammed Mutala Ibrahim 4, Filson Awankua 42 and
Bugri A. Ibrahim 11. The rest are Jerry Asamani Aladago 36 and Dr. Moses Kwabena Atinga 99.
Speaking to the media after the declaration of results, Lawyer Namoo said, “It was my honesty, my integrity, my transparency and above all, dedication to my work that did the job.”
“The delegates who were always working day and night saw that little wonder, they voted for me,” he added.
The Chairman who has been sworn in to serve a second term explained that “we are bringing a renewed energy, experience with renewed ideas to propel the party forward.”
The newly elected executives have been sworn in.
