Speaker Bagbin officially informed about death of Lawyer John Ndebugri; says former MP deserves state burial

Cletus Apul Avoka, Member of Parliament for Zebilla Constituency in the Upper East Region has led a delegation to officially inform the Speaker, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin of the passing of a former MP for Zebilla and lawyer, John Akparibo Ndebugri.

Mr. Bagin fondly recalled the late Lawyer Ndebugri as a patriot, an astute politician and a lawyer in good standing.

This was communicated to the public in a release from the Communication Directorate of Parliament, Accra.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin was today informed officially about the passing of Hon. John Akparibo Ndebugri. The announcement was made by a delegation led by Hon. Cletus Avoka, Member of Parliament of Zebilla Constituency in the Upper East Region, when they called on the Speaker in Accra on Wednesday.

Hon. Ndebugre was a Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency on the ticket of the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the Fourth Parliament. The late former MP was born on 12th March, 1950 and died on May 6 this year.

The Speaker thanked the delegation for officially informing the House and mentioned that, the late Ndebugre was a patriot, a senior brother and a friend, an astute politician and lawyer of good standing who has contributed a lot to the development of the country.

Speaker Bagbin added that the late Ndebugre deserves a befitting state burial and tasked Hon. Cletus Avoka to make a statement in the House to that effect. He pledged Parliament’s support to the family in these difficult times.
