The Head of Sports at A1 Radio, Humul Khrusum Tahiru has joined the campaign for the Navrongo Stadium to be opened.

Adding her voice to the campaign, Humul Kursum Tahiru, Head of Sports at A1 Radio mentioned that if Kassena Nankana United does not get a befitting infrastructure to play in the region this year, then the RFA should stop playing division two matches because it isn’t worth it.

“If Kassena Nankana United is not able to play division one in this region this year and they find a way of going to play in a different region, left to me, I will advise the RFA to stop playing division two matches because it’s not worth it. It’s not worth it.”

The Upper East Region is bedevilled with infrastructure challenges in the area of sports development. There have been several calls from sports journalists and other stakeholders for the government to complete the Navrongo Multi-Purpose Stadium.

The CEO of Newly Promoted Division One side Kassena Nankana United, Azanlerigu Mboma called for a collective effort from the youth of the Upper East Region to push for the completion of the first phase of the Navrongo Multi-Purpose Stadium for use.

He made this call while speaking on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show.

Addressing the challenge associated with choosing the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium as their home ground, Mr. Mboma noted that, it’s going to be expensive and it wouldn’t be easy.

Adding that if the Navrongo Multi-Purpose Stadium isn’t completed in time and opened for use, travelling to Tamale might not happen.
