Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, has made some changes within the command of the Ghana Police Service.
A1 News sources revealed that DCOP Dr. Sayibu Gariba, the immediate past Upper East Regional Police Commander has been moved to Greater Accra Region as the Regional Commander of the Ghana Police Service.
The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Iddi Seidu has been moved to the National Patrols Department to serve as deputy to the Director General, COP Paul Awuni.
Superintendent Atulub Karimu is now in charge of Operations at the Western Region.
DCOP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba assumed the Upper East Regional Police Command on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He took over from DCOP Osei Kwaku Ampofo-Danku who proceeded on retirement on Friday, March 5, 2021.
