The Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency, Dr. Clement Abass Apaak is confident that all roads under construction in the Builsa South and Builsa North areas are still high on the government’s radar and would be completed despite the passing of the CEO of MyTurn Construction Company, Kenneth Anewenah.

Dr. Apaak said in a recent conversation with the Roads Minister and MP for Atiwa West, Kwesi Amoako Atta, the Minister, aware of the passing of the CEO of MyTurn, the Minister gave a firm assurance that the road construction in that area would continue.

The MP for Builsa South said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Dr. Apaak again revealed that the Roads Minister holds MyTurn in high regard as one of the top 10 construction companies in Ghana.

“He is one of the biggest recognized names in the region and nationally. As an MP who knows the dynamics of Parliament, particularly in the construction sector, the number of questions I have posed to the Minister for Roads and Highways on roads in my constituency made it very clear that Ken’s pedigree and the company’s pedigree in the roads sector were very high.”

“The Minister on many occasions would always refer to the fact the MyTurn was a contractor working on major roads in Builsa South. He will also make mention of the fact that he [MyTurn] is among the top 10 contractors in Ghana.”

“I would always ask if MyTurn was among the top 10 construction companies, why the delay and of course the minister would always come back to the issue about funding.”

Dr. Apaak continued to say that “we have lost a contractor who, all things were equal, would have completed the assignment given him as far as my constituency was concerned before his untimely demise.”
