Fawzia Yakubu declares interest in NDC’s Upper East Regional Women Organiser position

Fawzia Abagnamah Yakubu has declared her interest in contesting the Upper East Regional Organiser positions as the NDC’s reorganisation process continues. 

The position is currently held by Hajia Charity Asuoma.

Madam Yakubu, making public her interest in the position explained that, “proactive and strategic women leadership is key to the victory of the NDC in 2024.”

This was contained in a statement of interest copied to this website. Madam Yakubu explained that when given the position, she will work together with other executives for the NDC to win all 15 parliamentary seats in the Upper East Region. 

Portions of the statement continued to read, “in my quest to contribute my quota to the realization of victory 2024 and Agenda 15/15 in the Upper East Region, after wide consultations, I have decided to pick nomination forms to contest for the position of Upper East Regional Women Organizer.”

Madam Yakubu is a BBA- Accounting holder from University of Education Winneba, a member of National Democratic Congress in the Bongo Constituency of Upper East Region, and insists that she has “the requisite organizational skills and temperament to organize the women of the Region for victory 2024.”
