Walewale Catholic Stars have been drawn against regional rivals, Samba Stars, in the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup for the preliminary stages, whilst the Upper East Division Two side, Sheaga Golden Stars, will welcome STK Stars from Tamale.
Per the draw which was done on Tuesday 18th October, 2022 at the GFA Secretariat in Accra, Walewale Catholic Stars will serve as the home team and Samba Stars will be the away team. In the other fixture Sheaga Golden Stars will also serve as the home whilst STK Stars from Tamale will be the away team.
The three teams from the Upper East Region made their way to the MTN FA CUP after emerging winners in their various zones last season.
Samba stars won zone one, Sheaga Golden Stars won zone three and Walewale Catholic Stars won zone four.
The matches are scheduled to come off from November 1 to November 10, 2022.
