The Principal of the Bolgatanga Nursing Training College, William Sebee has cautioned freshers of the school to live within their means and work toward attaining skillful goals for themselves.

Advising the over 398 students at the 2022 Matriculation Ceremony for Diploma 23 and 24 held in Bolgatanga, Mr. Sebee indicated that who they were yesterday should be an indication of who they want to become in the future.

“Don’t aspire to standards set by strangers on social media or even by your classmates and friends. Live within your means and work to attain the goals that you have set for yourself. Who you were yesterday should serve as a yardstick to measure your growth and progress. Not everyone has their entire plan laid out yet. So, take things one step, one day, and one posting at a time, being accountable to yourself.”

He added that the freshers should pay attention to their physical, mental, and spiritual health to reach their set goals.

“…don’t wait until you have reached your breaking point before seeking help. That is why you must surround yourself with intelligent and observant people that can infer when something is going on with you.”

The Principal however encouraged them to use social media for the betterment of their lives.
