The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo has promised to establish 5 new factories in the Upper East Region when elected president of Ghana.

In addition, he said all the defunct factories in the region that successive governments failed to revamp will be operationalized if he is elected the next president of Ghana.

“When I become president, I will make sure we build 5 new factories for this region. This is specific to this region [Upper East]. That is why I want you to record it, keep it and play it to me when I become president. We are not talking about small small factories but mega factories. We are to revive the meat factory and the Pwalugu tomato factory in addition to the 5 new factories.”

Mr. Akpaloo said this when he met with some residents of the Upper East Region who were transported from other communities to Bolgatanga.

The establishment of factories in the Upper East Region according to the LPG founder will create jobs for the teaming unemployed youth who migrate to southern parts of the country in search of non-existent jobs.

The founder of LPG added that he is the alternative choice who can stabilise the Ghanaian economy and restore the lost hopes Ghanaians are going through.

“People here have been praying for a saviour to come and rescue you from this hardship and God has given you the saviour and the saviour is right here”, he added.

Mr. Akpaloo admitted that it will be difficult to rescue Ghanaians from the hands of the NPP and NDC “that have mismanaged the country” but that it can be possible if Ghanaians rally their support behind him by voting massively for him to become president in 2024 general election.

Some individuals who volunteered as constituency executives for the Upper East Region were immediately sworn into office with the task bestowed on them to work hard to rescue power from the hands of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Akpaloo who contested the 2020 general election obtained just 7, 683 votes which represented 0.059 percent of the total number of 13, 119,460 valid votes. Regardless of his abysmal performance in the last election, he has not given up on his quest to become a future president of Ghana.
