Aspiring Women Organizer hopeful for the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region, Fawzia Yakubu has stated that the current setup of the women’s wing of the party in the region is weak and lacks coordination.

According to her, she will prioritize unity and make the women wing of the party in the region vibrant.

Speaking on the Day Break Upper East Show, Madam Yakubu said “I’ll prioritize unity and then working committees. Working committees will be my priority in the sense that the job isn’t about personalities, it is about adequate systems being put in place that can function irrespective of who is in office.”

Madam Yakubu lined up a series of activities she intends to do to make the party attractive to women in the region. But how is she going to fund these activities?

She says “I’m a lady of few words. I believe in action. One can prove how connected you’re with the things you do or how I can benefit from the connections. Being connected is not about talking, but is about action”.

She used the opportunity and appealed to delegates in the region to vote for her to “prove to them how or whether I’m connected”.
