The National Patriotic Party (NPP), is gaining ground in the Upper East Region. This is according to Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser for the party.

After a youth engagement in the Zebilla Constituency, Mr. Mustapha told A1 Radio in an exclusive interview that the NPP is gaining momentum in the area.

The National Youth Organiser also shared in the agenda of the Regional Youth Organiser, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini to unseat a number of NDC MPs in the region.

“I am for the agenda. The future is too bright. If I were Cletus Avoka, I wouldn’t sleep at all after what happened today. Clearly, the NPP is a force to reckon with [in the Upper East Region].”

“My Regional Youth Organiser, My Constituency Organisers have shown the clear ability to mobilise. If you saw what transpired, you would be just completely amazed that even in the midst of all that we are going through, we have been able to pull such a programme through; complete resilience. That is the true character of the NPP,” he said.

According to the National Youth Organiser, the NPP is built to be able to draw Ghana out of an uncomfortable economic situation and channel the country towards proper growth.

It would be recalled that the Upper East Regional Youth Organiser, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini made these comments when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show in June, earlier this year. He was confident that the governing New Patriotic Party would not only break the 8 in the 2024 elections but will capture at least 5 seats in the Upper East Region.

In addition to the earlier commitments to unseat the members of Parliament from Navrongo Central, Pusiga, Tempane, Bawku Central, Binduri, Mr. Al-Khomeini said the Member of Parliament for Zebilla, Cletus Avoka should be extremely worried.

“The youth of the Upper East Regional are doing very well. I think that everything that we hope for, all the plans that we are putting in place, all our goals, aspirations that we are setting to move into action are moving smoothly. It is not for nothing that we have the National Youth Organiser of the NPP in the Upper East Region. What it tells you is that we are walking our talk. If you have the National Youth Organiser in the Region, what he is coming to do is to tell the youth what the national objective of the party is relative to the Upper East Region.”

“We are targeting some people. The last time I was here, I made mention of this. Today, we went to Zebilla. Cletus Avoka should be a worried man. I am telling you, he is a worried man,” he said.
