The Ghana Athletics Association(GAA) has set January 21, 2023 for its Annual General Meetings(AGM) to be held in Kumasi, Ashanti Regional capital.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), Bawa Fuseini, the Congress would, among other things, serve as a platform to discuss the progress of the association.

“The agenda for the Congress, minutes from the last Congress, audited accounts, correspondence, and any other relevant documents will be sent to members 21 days before the Congress date,” it stated.

The statement said all members would be represented by a delegate at the Congress.

Speaking on A1 Radio, the Organizer of the Upper East Athletics Association, Ali John Atia, said the Congress is not meant for all members but for some individuals.

Mr. Ali said all 16 regional chairmen are all qualified to participate in the Congress. Additionally, the head coaches of the association across the various regions of Ghana, led by Mr.  Ali John Atia, would be present at the Congress.

The Congress is a non-elective one.
