Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Ratty Bangarang has stated that unless clear financial terms are agreed upon, he would no longer be available to perform at social events for free.

He made this revelation during an interview on A1 Radio’s weekend entertainment show dubbed ‘E-Zone’ with Mr. Lexis.

He was responding to a question on why his name hasn’t been featured on recent major events in the region.

He said “it’s not that artistes and event organisers don’t call me. They do but they are not ready to meet my terms. I am not ready to perform at any event for free because I spend on my brand.”

Ratty Bangarang, as he is affectionately called, said he paid for the hype of his recently released ‘yah man’ song that is making waves in the north and beyond.

“I am saying this for all to hear. I paid every blogger to promote my song. I paid each blogger not less than 150 cedis. So when you see my song talked about on social media, it’s because I paid for it. So I can’t travel all the way to perform at any event for free. At least, take care of my transportation and outfit.”

Ratty Bangarang called on his fans to expect bigger projects from him.
