The Chief Executive Officer of Kalamed Pharmacy, Musah Kalamulai, has been successfully vetted and is set to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary primaries in the Pusiga constituency of the Upper East Region.

The physician assistant noted that job creation, youth empowerment, and increasing the party’s votes in the constituency were key factors in his decision to join the race.

“My focus is to unearth talents among young people in Pusiga. I believe that if I’m given the knot to sail through during my four years in office, I will sponsor 25 each into medicine, engineering, and law schools in the area,” he said.

Mr. Kalamulai, who spoke to our reporter after successfully vetting on Monday 3rd April, 2023, stressed that the votes for the NDC in the constituency have been declining over the years and that his coming will help to improve such shortfalls.

“If you look at the NDC’s vote pattern in the constituency, it has been declining. Just in the last elections, we only beat the opponent by 63 votes. How? So, I think I’m the fresh blood that can change such things in the area.”

Meanwhile, on day one of the vetting process in the Upper East Region, twenty (20) aspirants were successfully vetted and cleared to contest in six (6) constituencies.
