A member of the National Democratic Congress from Bolgatanga, Gavinus Anaba, has donated a desktop computer to the Bolgatanga Central Constituency office of the party. The donation, according to the donor, was necessary following a request from the constituency executives for a computer to aid in the administrative activities.

A member of the regional communications team of the NDC, Francis Adingo, who presented the gesture on behalf of Mr. Anaba, said the donor has plans to add a printer and also engage an office assistant for the office for improved administrative work.

“He has been very supportive of the party. He supported the women wing of the party at the regional level, he supported the regional communications bureau with call credit and data for effective communication while renewing the health insurance cards of party members”, he added

Mr. Adingo indicated that the NDC activist, who hails from the Atulbabisi community in Bolgatanga Central but resides out of the region, has developed an interest in the party’s activities and has always supported the party’s efforts to recapture power from the NPP.

“He is just a party member and we cannot tell his motive for now, but his motive and primary concern is for the party to work hard to capture power from the NPP come 2024”

Mr. Adingo urged executives of the Bolgatanga Central constituency of the NDC to take good care of the computer for it to be used for its intended purpose.

The constituency secretary, Isaac Ayemvoa, said the computer came at the right time to improve the party’s standards of communication and research work.

“We have a constituency communication bureau, and we do more of our research online; we don’t speak without facts. We do this using our cell phones and other gadgets, and now that we are setting up a full internet system here, very soon if you are going for a radio programme, the Research Officer will do all the research work for all communicators who need it. We cannot print our documents outside, so with this computer, we will do it here”, he stated.

He said the members of the party had closed ranks, and the executive committee members are more than poised to raise the bar more than the party did four years ago.

“Our target is 80 percent of the total voter population in the Bolga Central constituency.”

The constituency chairman, Martin Ayamga, thanked the philanthropist, Gavinus Anaba, for the support and appealed to all NDC members and other benevolent people to emulate the gesture for the party to operate smoothly and take over the realms of affairs of the party.
