Pandy Bobby, as he is known in entertainment circles, has stated that he will participate in the 2023 edition of the annual Happyman Bitters Upper East Music Awards and be once again, the winner of the Artiste of the Year award.

“I am taking part in this year’s edition again and winning the award again. I am going to be the only artiste who will win the artiste of the year category 2 times in a row.”

Pandy is the reigning artiste of the year and is enjoying his time.

He used the opportunity to call on the industry to accord him that respect because he worked hard to earn that title. “My expectations are that anytime there is an event, my name should be on it, but that seems not to be the case.  There are events I have to call them before they bill me without pay. Lexis, you know me, I am Pandy and I do things for free for people.”

Meanwhile, Pandy Bobby, the reigning artist of the year, has revealed how much money he spent on voting at the Upper East Music Awards just to win the Artiste Of The Year Category.

Speaking in an exclusive interview  with Mr. Lexis on A1 Radio’s Entertainment Zone, he said, “I can put a particular amount on how much I invested, but it is more than Ghc20,000 cedis.”

As to why he would use that amount for voting in that category alone, he said, “It’s not about the money to me but the prestige and honour it brings. I have worked hard in the year under review, so I am worthy of that award.”
