The DCE for Talensi, Thomas Duanab Wuni Pearson is pained that his close friend and associate, the incumbent MP for the Bongo constituency, Edward Bawa lost his candidature at the recent NDC primaries.

“My friend Edward Bawa lost. He is my good friend. We eat together and sleep together. I am in pain that my good friend lost. Even though he is in the NDC, he lost and I didn’t expect him to lose. I would have loved that him and I would be in Parliament in 2024.”

Mr. Wuni Pearson made these comments when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show recently.

The Talensi DCE explained that his interest in leading the NPP to victory in the Talensi area has not waned.

“You would see my name [as part of the NPP’s primaries] by the grace of God. I have been there with them. In 2020, we lost because of something. Largely, galamsey was an issue and it affected us. Our performance in the east was not too full but we are working at these things,” he said.

Edward Bawa, the MP for Bongo lost his candidature to Lawyer Charles Bawadua.
