The Talensi District Chief Executive and New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary hopeful for the Talensi constituency, Thomas Duanab Wuni Pearson is optimistic about winning the upcoming parliamentary primaries to lead the party in the 2024 general election.
Mr. Wuni Pearson believes in the adage “fear delegates” but thinks he has a better chance of winning the election.
He notes that delegates can be unpredictable, citing examples where some delegates may or may not be influenced by gifts. Understanding the type of delegates one is dealing with requires intelligence, he adds.
Mr. Duanab emphasizes the importance of party unity in these challenging times, urging members to come together and work towards securing victory in the 2024 general election.
“I want to plead with my fellow patriots that these are difficult times for our party; we may not be doing very well, but things are taking shape, and our economy is bouncing back. Let us not do things that would get Ghanaians to vote against us before we even get to the ballot box,” he pleaded.
