The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has directed all Regional Secretaries to suspend all party activities across the country.
This, the party noted is to enable the Executives of the party at all levels to concentrate exclusively on the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.
In a statement signed by the Acting General Secretary of the NDC, Barbara Serwa Asamoah, the FEC arrived at the decision on September 18, 2023, after it had deliberated on the registration exercise.
Meanwhile, the party is calling on the Electoral Commission to resume the limited voter registration exercise in the Bawku central constituency, which halted due to a misunderstanding on the number of registration centers.
