The Bawku East Small-Scale Farmers Association (BESSFA) Rural Bank Limited has been named the winner of the Outstanding Customer Service (Rural Banks) category at the prestigious 2023 Ghana Corporate Excellence Awards.
The accolade recognizes the bank’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional service to its customers in rural communities. The Ghana Corporate Excellence Awards, held in Accra on November 24th, are an annual event that celebrates and acknowledges outstanding achievements in various sectors, highlighting organisations that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and commitment to excellence in their respective fields.
The General Manager of BESSFA Rural Bank Limited, Alhaji Hayatudeen Awudu Ibrahim, speaking to A1 Radio, said the bank prioritises the needs of its customers in its service delivery.
“What we do differently is put our customers first by putting ourselves on the side and make sure that we give them the kind of service that will resonate with them for the rest of their lives, so that they live to regret when they have services that have been rendered by someone other than BESSFA Rural Bank.”
Alhaji Hayatudeen disclosed that the bank has put in place systems to respond to the customers’ requests “because a little delay can cause a customer so much loss.”
He said the achievement will challenge the bank to do much better than it has done to improve its services for customers.
As the bank celebrates this prestigious recognition, the General Manager of BESSFA Rural Bank Limited said the bank looks forward to introducing an e-banking platform for customers to transact businesses in the comfort of their homes and workplaces.
Alhaji Hayatudeen dedicated the recognition to the customers for the confidence reposed in them and to the staff of the bank for their sacrifice regardless of the challenges they faced.
