Thirteen Electoral Area Coordinators in Binduri Constituency in the Upper East Region have officially picked nomination forms for their incumbent Member of Parliament, Abanga Abdullai.

The coordinators are championing the cause for Mr. Abdullai to contest the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary primaries for sitting Members of Parliament on January 27, 2024, citing his remarkable contributions to the constituency over the past three years.

“Over the course of his tenure, our MP, Abanga Abdullai, has been a driving force behind significant improvements in healthcare facilities across Binduri. The constituency has witnessed the enhancement of health infrastructure, ensuring better access to medical services for residents. This commitment to healthcare has not only improved the overall well-being of the constituency but has also demonstrated Abdullai’s dedication to addressing critical needs. Aside from that, in the realm of education, Abdullai’s initiatives have played a pivotal role in uplifting the educational space of Binduri Constituency, from infrastructure development to implementing programs that enhance the quality of education,” they said.

Speaking on behalf of the Electoral Area Coordinators, Abumah Joe expressed the belief that Mr. Abdullai was the right candidate to lead Binduri Constituency into the future.

“We thought it wise that he deserves to continue and lead us for 2024,” Joe stated.

He added that their decision to actively participate in securing Mr. Abdullai’s nomination signifies a grassroots movement within the constituency to ensure that their representative continues to spearhead development and progress.

He emphasized that the decision to support Abdullai’s candidacy stemmed from a recognition of the massive strides he has made in improving health infrastructure and enhancing educational opportunities within the constituency.

He therefore indicated that they will plead with anyone who has a similar interest in contesting the sitting MP to reconsider his/her decision and, rather, champion the “Abanga agenda” for the party to win the seat in the 2024 elections.”
