Alex Avoka Amolbugri, one of the Parliamentary Aspirants in the Binduri Constituency, who was disqualified by the party’s vetting committee based on allegations of forgery and other reasons, is seeking an interlocutory injunction against the process at the Bolgatanga High Court.
The motion aims to hold the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Binduri Constituency.
Speaking on A1 Radio, the embattled aspirant claimed that the basis of his disqualifications was politically motivated and orchestrated by certain individuals with an agenda to eliminate him from the contest.
He argued that the claims of forgery are baseless and merely serve as a pretext to tarnish his reputation and bar him from participating in the party’s January 27th elections.
